Last night I noticed the new UI update, and while I quite like it, here are a couple bugs I’ve encountered :
1: Show page is different depending on how you access it:
If you access it through the Library list, it shows correctly with the list of seasons and the corresponding artwork.
If you access it through the “Go to Show” button inside an episode, for example, you get the show page without the list of seasons, but with a list of every episode (similar of what you get with one-season shows) that does not even update the “Season” tag on top of the list.
I think it’s just a bug, annoying but it happens.
2: Theme music does not play depending on how you access the Show:
Theme music plays normally if you access it through the Library list, but it MIGHT not play when you access it through another Show page.
It all depends on wether the previous Show theme music ended or not. I’ll try to explain it further. If you access a Show and its theme music it’s still playing, and you then access another Show through the “Related” section, the newly selected Show’s theme music plays fine. If you let the theme music END, and then access a related show, the newly selected show’s theme music does not start, and this applies for every show that you continue to access this way. The only way to get the theme music back is to return to the Library list or go to the home page.
3: “Next up” page is glitched and feels empty:
First, about the empty part, I don’t exactly remember the old one, but this new one feels like it’s missing something, there is no separator, no background…
About the glitch, when you move your cursor on the bottom “On Deck” list, the entire page shift upwards, cutting the top bar with the search logo, and does not move back when you move your cursor up on the current show episode (this happened in the previous version).
I actually think this page DOES NOT need to move up or down for any reason, there’s not enough content to justify it and it just looks bad. Make it a static page with the same content and it’s fine.
I hope some dev sees this and fixes it, anyway, thanks for the update, I enjoy most of the new stuff!
