Player Version#: most recent Roku version
My Roku player displays and plays with no issue TV Shows under the “On Deck” & “Recently Added TV”. From either of those two location I can then access the Shows for the episodes I can see and play any episodes within those shows.
HOWEVER whenever I try to access my TV Show Library (to see all shows) I get Content Unavailable.
This only happens on the Roku app, on the web and on the ios app there are no problems access the TV Show Library.
Similarly I have no problem accessing the music and movie libraries on Roku. The issue is only with the TV Show Library.
Any idea / suggestions on what’s going on?
Looking at the forum it seems similar to the following posts:
TV Shows Library Will Not Load
However no solution is offered except that “it is a known issue with a solution is being worked on” as of October 2018 which in 2020 does not bode well.
That issue was fixed shortly after those posts were made.
You are either experiencing a regression (an old bug returning) or a new/different bug with a same/similar symptom. (This is not an issue that went over a year unfixed.)
This is a beta version, and might be the source of your issue. If you roll back to the previous version do you still have a problem?

I know this issue was not present before the changes to the home screen (i.e… introduction of the movie offering by plex) - however not sure how long since that change has taken place it has existed as usually On Deck and Recently Added have been sufficient for my needs.
See the section “Reset Home Customization” at that link. You’ll have to re-pin all your libraries and redo any other home screen customizations you’ve made, but it may restore access to your TV library.
Thank you . Your suggestion seems to have solved the issue.
To flag that after resetting it took quite a while for the TV Show library to initialize and currently it is still sluggish but at least it showed up.
