This is unacceptable. It has been YEARS and this very well known bug STILL hasn’t been fixed.
If you want your xbox one (or any other game controller) to work with Plex’s HTPC player then you have to make sure the controller is OFF before you launch Plex HTPC. Then once it launches you can turn on the controller and it will work then.
Can we finally get a fix for this?
EDIT: Since there’s a 0% chance this will ever get acknoledged or addressed, here is a work around!
WORK AROUND:
HTPC Plex has no issues with Keyboards. So you just have to use a 3rd party program to bind your game controllers to keyboard buttons and then play with the keyboard inputmapping json to mimmick the same type of functionality you’d have with the controller. It’s not the most fun thing to setup but at least it’ll work.
