[BUG] Plex.tv/link Code not displayed

I just bought a smart projector running on android 11. After installing plex app from google play store I tried logging in, however the screen displayed does not display the code for the login:

I skipped the login to get the player version:

Can someone fix the bug or has a workaround?
Login with google does work, but my actual account is not linked to google.

Ditto. I click ‘Sign In’ and it tells me to enter the code on my browser, but NEVER gives me a code. Eventually it tells me the code expired and asks to refresh. But again, it NEVER gives me a code. This is frustrating. Please fix this ASAP, Plex.

Another one wirth exactly the same problem. I have pass Plex Pass and i can’t use because i cant’t log in.

Please some help or workaround ASAP!!!

Any plans on fixing this any time soon, Plex? I’ve tried keeping the mobile setup and changing to the TV setup, and both do not display a code for me to enter and link. It’s been nearly two months since I first posted and the same issue persists.

Are you guys using a vpn? I’ve only seen this happen, outside of a bug, when your ip gets rate limited. This commonly happens if you use a VPN. Turn it off temporarily to get the code, then turn it back on to connect to your server.

Not using any VPN on the projector.

I still have the issue, and it seems that nobody has found solution for now.

Not using a VPN. I click on ‘Sign In’ and where a code should be, it’s empty and black like the rest of the background. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app hoping maybe there’d be an update by now, but the same problem persists.

This is a really annoying issue, even when I click sign in with Google it refuses be a use it’s trying to create a new Plex account and my current account is with Gmail.

For everyone struggling, the only workaround I found:

  1. Sign in with my Google account (might create a new plex account if you have not used this method before).
  2. Share libraries with that account.

Not really satisfying but as I do not see a chance of getting this fixed soon, I can live with that.
