Hey guys,
as you all know, Plex DVR is driving me mad…
Today - a couple of episodes are scheduled for recording… see my recording schedule:
As you can see… a couple of scattered recording entries are shown.
But if you open the program guide and scan the guide for that channel… whoops… a lot more of scheduled recordings.
The recording schedule shows 5 episodes tonight.
The program guide shows 8 recordings tonight (including the one called “Body Bizarre” which had been finished recording already when I came to take the guide screenshots.
The problem is: the “missing” recordings in the recording schedule are repeated airings.
The shows are set to do all recordings (new and repeated). So my expectations are: RECORD ALL airings - no matter how often.
As you cannot program a recording by time, I use “surrounding” episodes recordings to and concatenate these together to have FULL episode recordings. But if a developer decides for me, that I already recorded that episode and therefore do not need further recordings, this is driving me wild. I not only loose the repeated recording. I also loose the end or the beginning of the recording I am really after.
To make a long and proven story short… if I setup a TV show to be recorded (all instances)… do so, don’t argue, please.
