New beta build for Nvidia shield (using tube) has an issue where when skipping forward or skipping back, the video freezes or the video crashes and goes back to the media play screen. I can sometimes skip ahead in 30 second intervals slowly but If i do anything more than that it basically crashes. I can restart the video by clicking on play and there are no issues resuming.
From what I can tell, I’m not having the previous issue where video would just randomly freeze during playback - but I haven’t tested enough to completely verify.
Yes, it’s the current beta version just released, 8.1.0.17650-beta. It happens on ANY file - tv show or movie. I am currently using the enhanced player as well.
@DaveBinM Okay, logs attached from the plex shield tube client. In this instance, I start playback at 05-14 22:38:07.520 in the log. shield tube player log.txt (124.3 KB)
I starting the file, I was able click on the remote a couple of times to fast forward and playback did resume, but the sound was completely out of sync. a couple of more forward presses on my remote and everything froze (but note that the client still thinks the video is playing as the time playing is still ticking away). I tried pressing buttons, ff, rw, pause/play and nothing responds. I however can hit the back button and go back to the playback/title screen.
I experience the same issue of the shield pro 2017. I’ve downgraded to the previous stable release and do not see the issue. sbrentn has already provide the log but I just wanted to let you know others are seeing the same.
