Bug Report: Plex Web Player

Server Version#: 1.40.3.8555
Player Version#: 4.131.1

The plex web player will throw an exception when browsing a photo library via the library view. To trigger the error navigate two folders deep into the view. On entering into the second folder the player will throw the error. Also, the number of photos in the second level folder may be a factor. The error does not consistently trigger with a low item count in the second level folder. I can get a consistent error with folders containing around 20+ photos. I tested the same view paths in the local player and no errors were thrown.

Thanks,
D

Also having issues with the last PMS update. Installed the update yesterday (6/13). When watching on my desktop PC from the webplayer, I try to connect to ChromeCast and it crashes my entire Chrome browser.

Any ideas, or just a bug with the PMS update?

Thanks,
Scott

me too…

“I try to connect to ChromeCast (Audio) and it crashes my entire Chrome browser.”

Oddly ChromeCast Video does not crash…

But… if you use the cast icon in chrome not plex it works…

I found another thread on a Google forum that leads me to believe it is an issue with the Chrome browser version, and not an issue with Plex:

https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/279899541/my-browser-keeps-crashing-when-i-cast-to-tv

That could be as both PLEX and Chrome updated very close to each other.
But for me the issue only happens when I cast to my Chromecast Audio in PLEX. I can cast to my Chromecast Video in PLEX without issue. I can also cast to both in Chrome outside of PLEX. That is my work around until someone way smarter than me resolves this. As casting music from PLEX web player is how I use PLEX 99% of the time.

And yes I to can confirm the the Beta Chrome works as expected.

FYI after the latest windows update the issue has gone away.

I still have this issue. I am also having this issue on the windows client on two windows device running the current client. It works fine on the android client.
