Looks like the TrueHD track is messing up other audio tracks of same language.
For example there is 4 audio tracks in movie:
AC3 Russian
AC3 Ukrainian
TrueHD English
AC3 English
3rd track forces to Transcode, thats ok as my LG B8 doesn’t support it, so i’m choosing 4th track AC3 English, but the 1st track, AC3 Russian, is playing instead, despite of selection that is showing that it is AC3 English.
If i choose 2nd track - AC3 Ukrainian - it plays well.
If any additional info/logs required, please, tell me. Im pretty new to PLEX.
As I thought, after cutting TrueHD track out, other tracks, including AC3 English work just fine.
So, I believe it can be called a bug and it needs to be fixed.
If there is need of additional info, I’ll be glad to provide it.
I’ve also read few threads about this bug (one of them was from late 2017th), but I have latest versions of Server (Windows 10) and Client (LG Web-OS 4.10.x) and its still persist.
Yes, still a bug I reported it months ago with no response. As soon as you have a THD track and 2 or more other tracks in the MKV then it gets it’s pants in a bunch. My examples are:
Select Track 2 it says it is playing 5.1 track 2 but plays the commentary, select track 3 and it plays the AC3 5.1 but states it is playing AC3 2.0 commentary.
With the Crouching tiger example I could not get it to play the AC3 5.1 Mandarin track at all no matter what stream I selected. I ended up removing the commentary & english tracks so that it would play the audio I wanted.
This is Plex server (latest) running on Synology NAS and client LG C8 WebOS latest version as of a few days ago. Direct play/stream so no transcoding. Bug still there.
