I would think this was an existing ‘feature,’ and yet…

Select them and mark them. To select a group in a row or the entire library click the selection circle on top left of first poster then Shift+Click on the last poster.
Mine doesn’t look like that… once I select a movie I get a similar menu all the way to the right, but it doesn’t have ‘Marked as Played’… instead it has ‘Shuffle’…
I just noticed a new minor server update and I’m installing now… thinking it’s some personal glitch and the update will correct it, otherwise I’ll reinstall and see if that works.
It should have both shuffle and 'Mark as played." You don’t see this?
If not, can you give us a screenshot of what you do see?
Make sure you’re selecting a Movie/TV Show - not a Collection - and if you select a range of items, make sure a Collection isn’t one of them.
Other Videos also show a different interface when selected.
To ‘De-Select’/‘Select’ a single item in a range of items - hold Ctl and click it’s circle.
It looked the same minus the circle checkmark… after the update it looks exactly the same… no idea why it was missing before but it’s all good now, thanks 
Thanks for the suggestions. I have collections disabled so that wasn’t the issue… but that’s good to know.
