Can we please get a button on the video player that will start the movie or show from the beginning without having to rewind. This will be especially useful when a movie is mostly finished playing the credits but not far enough to trigger as played. Or if you only watched half an episode a few weeks ago but want to watch the entire thing rather than pickup where you left off.
Which Plex client?
Android TV already has a Play from Start button next to the Resume button on the movie pre-play screen.
In Plex Web and Plex for Windows, when you click on Resume, you are prompted with “Resume from X - Y minutes remaining” or to Play from the beginning.
What am I missing? Are you using Plex to watch a VCR?
sorry about the super late reply. It’s for plex on roku. There is an option to play from the start if you go into the actual movie or episodes profile. However if your shuffling through a season plex will pick episodes or movies that are partially watched or fully watched but not enough to reset and start them at the last end point. There isn’t an option within the video player on roku to set it back to the beginning, you need to rewind the entire movie or go search for it among your collection.
You can Mark As Played any movie or TV show that is partially watched by clicking a single button near the button you press to play it on the movie or season page.
And likewise, you can Mark As Unplayed with one click if it’s already been played.
That’s what you’re asking for, right?
