Has anyone else lost the ability to start from beginning of movie when clicking on the resume button? It doesn’t give me that option anymore. It just resumes the movie where it left off.
No, I always get that option.
Meantime, what happens if you mark this movie as unplayed?
it depends on the player you are using, and in which menu you are in. I HAVE seen one case where selecting an in-progress episode started from where it left off immediately instead of me having to pick it specifically. I don’t remember what client I was on… perhaps my Fire tablet.
Yes, if you click on that, it restarts the movie. But when I would click on the resume button, it would take you to a screen with a large movie poster and give you the option of resuming where the movie left off or starting over. For some reason that screen has disappeared on me. I don’t know if it was something with the new update or what.
Which app you are using? For some apps the Play from beginning option is in the contextual menu ( the three dots)
I’m using the Plex app on appletv. It just recently disappeared.
The option to play from beginning is in the contextual menu on Apple TV.
I’m pretty sure it was intentional to remove the popup asking which every time because 99% of folks would want to resume. Android TV has a separate button below next to play button which I think is going to change as well but I would need to wait til next week when folks are back from holidays to confirm.
