Buying Movies Useable In Plex

Does anyone know of a service provider or retailer that will let you purchase an unrestricted movie or tv program that you can add to Plex?

It seems this should be possible. Amazon MP3 works like a charm and google play with the help of a 3rd party app let me gain access to music files that I pay for that are not encrypted.

It seems I’m backed into a corner on movies. It would be much nicer to get a professional quality file and pay for it rather than taking the approach well it was on Netflix or Hulu or directv so I’ll just get it through torrents since I could have taken the time to record it to DVD or through my tv tuner card or saved it on my dvr.

I do not want to pay for rights to a movie I cannot own. Cloud only based services do not offer the promise of forever availability and also do not let you save files for using specifically with Plex libraries or for further conversion to save on any device you own.

Has any provider got with the program and decided to offer these services?

Seriously not trying to be a pirate. I pay for just about any movie tv and music service out there. I resort to torrents just to save me the time of actually having to record everything through the input devices on my pc. I never share files over the torrent clients. Once I have it I kill it. And results of that are only sometimes good. Even Amazon MP3 has trash albums on it. I got some power ballads collection and half of the song names were misspelled and or performed as covers by other artists. I would pay 200 a month to have unrestricted download access to movies tv shows and music and only real professional copies someone took the time to tag the music right and encode the video like a pro in a few different formats I could choose from.

Any movie you pay for has DRM. Audio can be freely copied, but movies can’t. You have to buy and remove the DRM yourself.

The “provider” you want is a physical media provider. Gives you a nice “backup” too should your computer storage of the ripped versions fail.
