C Drive on PMS ran out of space

Server Version#:1.23.4.4805
I tried deleting preview thumbnails but that seemed to take even more drive space. I have another drive in the server with lots of space. Can I move one or more folders there or is there a way to clean things up to make some space?

I tried to follow the instructions to Relocate your Plex Media Server Data Directory but I must be missing something

Windows

On Windows, the preferences are available in the registry. To access settings related to Plex Media Server:

  1. Open the “regedit” application
  2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\
  3. Create a new entry named as per the options below and add the correct value, or else edit an existing value

When creating the registry entry, be sure to choose the correct type:
What do I call this reg key?

  • String, path, or other text: String Value
  • Integer or boolean: DWORD (32-bit) Value

There are detailed instructions for moving your Plex data directory in this forum post (including the name of the registry key, “LocalAppDataPath”). Be sure to read the entirety of the first post, all the way through both addendums.

Thanks I will try that

you might also get some more space by moving your db backup directory too.

under Server>Scheduled Tasks.

If your C: drive ran out of space, your primary database file might be corrupted.
I’d perform the repair procedure or roll back to one of the backups.
