Plex Media Server Data Is Taking Up A THIRD OF MY BOOT DRIVE! OVER 100 GB!

Server Version#:Latest Release
Player Version#:N/A

Registry entry “LocalAppDataPath” is NON-EXISTENT, therefore, I can’t change the default location. My C: drive (300 GB) is almost full due to this ridiculous over-site in development.

Since there is no setting (which THERE SHOULD BE) in the server settings and the registry entry doesn’t exist, HOW DO I MOVE THE PMS Data OFF OF MY C: DRIVE?? PLEASE!!!.

If it’s not present, you can just add it yourself. See [HowTo] An extended guide on how to move the Plex data folder on Windows - General Discussions / Tips, Tricks & How-Tos - Plex Forum

You can also look at disabling video preview thumbnails (or at least reducing how frequently a thumbnail is generated via the GenerateBIFFrameInterval setting), as that’s most likely what’s taking the majority of the space.

It doesn’t exist by default. You are supposed to create it, to move away from the default location.

That’s exactly the [How To] I spent over an hour searching for without success.

Thank you very much! I’ll be all set now.
