Hi guys, I’ve been a happy Plex User for some time now (3yr If I’m not mistaken)…and this is the first time I have a problem with it…well not exactly a problem since it “corrects” with the push of a button, but is still somewhat annoying…When watching a movie (or any video of some lenght, for that matter), Plex start “caching” (the little circle with the percentage inside), as I said, I press back, and play and the problem is “gone”. This is happening with this version update only…
Some data:
Server => FreeBSD morpheus 13.0-RELEASE-p4, 2 cores, 4GB RAM
Player=> Roku (maybe this is the problem ¬¬)
Before I send any log, I’d like to know if someone else has been having the same problem. Or if this is a known problem.
I have found with Roku that sometimes the device can get some odd GUI hiccups - particularly related to what seems like caching - that can be cleared by rebooting the device via pulling the power cable instead of the menu option for reboot. It only takes 30 seconds so worth a try anyways… sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn’t.
Other than that I can only give anecdotal info that my Roku devices aren’t having that issue.
You might try the Plex Preview channel for Roku - I don’t think it’s any newer compared to public at the moment but new fixes show up there for testing. Roku Preview
