Caldera Feature Request + Bug Report

Not sure where to report bugs for Caldera so posting it here.

  • Feature Request: with Exclusive Mode on macOS, is it possible to disable exclusive mode when not playing so the playback device is opened up for other devices
  • Bug: I found the volume for the ‘speaker’ adjusts back down to 20% when ticking or unticking another speaker, but the UI shows 100%.

Will these features eventually make it into Plexamp?

As far as I know it should be fixed in the next release of Caldera Amp.

Same.

Plexamp uses a completely different audio engine which is not under active development.

Further to the 20% bug, it seems to forget previous volume settings on next launch.

Adding to login item setting for macOS would also be ideal for a future release :slight_smile:

The audio engine for Caldera sounds great. It’s a weird concept for me to have a seperate playback app, I’m very much used to a single app for music browse + playback. Maybe I have to adjust to take advantage of it. I take it from your response that Plexamp will eventually be going away? Sorry if you’re sick of repeating yourself, that’s just news to me as I don’t follow the latest forum posts.

Just Plexamp headless; the mobile/desktop apps are in the middle of a big upgrade.
