PMP has an option to disable exclusive mode. This allows to switch the audio input and have Plex Media Player reflect that adjustment without a restart. For Plexamp I am unable to find such a setting meaning whenever I switch the audio output on my mac, I have to restart Plexamp.
Known issue, we’ll make Plexamp track currently active audio output in the future.

@timinski I do not know how to do that via SSH. In PMP it’s Settings > Audio > Exclusive Mode.
