Does ATV HD (2015) work with Caldera? What are the minimum requirements on the hardware and the software side of things for Caldera?
I’m pondering about getting a used ATV and a dummy HDMI dongle just for running Caldera

Not exactly sure, the 2015 Apple TV will be powerful enough to handle the visualizer… you should be able to give it a try.
The compatibility page on tvOS simply states it requires tvOS 18.
