Can anyone help me choose a NAS for Plex?

I’m looking for a NAS with minimum 80TB storage-capacity, and that can transcode 4k (HW or SW).
I really like Synology, but I can go with whatever…

Anyone?

If you are comfortable with Linux I’d suggest you look into building your own NAS and running unraid or freenas as you can make it as beefy as you want for transcoding and can replace parts and upgrade in the future.

I would do that if it was my own, personal server. But this is for a company that is going to use the NAS for backup and customer-relations. So I would not be comfortable building it myself.

The reason we want to run plex with 4k transcode is that we make films for customers that we would like to organize in Plex and show our customers the films based on useraccounts (in plex).

I have a QNAP TVS 682 and love it.
