Can I create Smart Playlists?

I was playing around with this last night, and have previously created a few manual playlists (by selecting individual files and adding to playlist) but realised I could also create them from a filter I’d created. These still looked like they were one off playlists, and wouldn’t be updated if new media was added to the library.

Is it possible to create a Smart Playlist (say for a studio like Disney) which automatically adds new media to the playlist when it’s added to the library?

Yes. If you first use the Filters to select your music/movies, then click the Add to Playlist button in the left action bar, it will create a smart playlist based on the filters. Any new media that fits the filter criteria will automatically be added to the playlist.

Smart playlists will have a little gear in the corner of the thumbnail image.

That’s great, thanks! Didn’t realise that’s how that worked. Would be great if you could click the little gear icon to edit the playlist!
