Can I download 2 hours of random music from a playlist?

Hello,

Using Plexamp for iPad, I have a playlist of all my still unplayed music.

I`d like to download about two hours of random tracs from this playlist. Can it be done?

Up until now I have only managed to download the next two hours of music, and that might only be a couple of complete albums, but no random tracks.

Edit the playlist and set it to be randomly sorted. Then refresh the download in Plexamp.

I had the same request.

Unfortunately if your playlist is set to view by Tracks the Random sort order is not available in the GUI.

You can still change the sort order by editing the URL. See this post.

As you mention BanzaiInstitute it is not possible to change to random after the playlist has been made, but I was able to achieve the same thing by just creating a new list and placing the track order at random there.

But you can set it to “random” before you switch to Tracks view mode.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. I can play the playlist by random, but that will only play the tracks in it randomly, I cannot download that way.

I can select these three modes to view a playlist:

Tracks
Album
Artist

Exiting the playlist return the list to the original setting in any case.

For me the solution was to create a completely new playlist and selecting sort by random then. I do not seem able to do so after the playlist has been created.
