Can I get an old server deleted?

I have an old Plex server I setup initially that I don’t use anymore, and I think it causes problem with trying to view my current server on Roku. I’ve tried reinstalling the Plex app on Roku, and the older server doesn’t show under authorised devices, so there’s nothing to remove from there. Can I get it deleted please?

Older server name: Baz’s Plex (please remove this one)

Current server name: Barry Server

There is only one server in your account.
And it’s no problem to have more than one server. Plex clients are equipped to handle this situation.

If you are still seeing the name of your old server, it can mean that:

  • the client you are using is signed into a different plex.tv account
  • the client you are using needs a forced refresh. Sign this client out from your account, restart it, then sign it back in.
  • you have “cloned” your old server by copying not only the plex data folder, but also the advanced server settings. You should do this only if the old server is never, ever started up again. If the machine which housed the old server is still in use, you should make doubly sure that Plex server is not started anymore. If you cannot guarantee that, delete its advanced server settings.

Hi, I’ve checked again and my old server was unclaimed - I’ve tried claiming it now, is it visible on my account, and possible to delete?

On your third point: I setup the old server on my PC, but run my current one on a Raspberry PI. Should I just delete the advanced settings from the PC altogether?

Looking at your account,

Raspbian , Debian 10 , ARMv7 machine, created about 2 years ago; is claimed and on your account.

You should now see it in Settings - Authorized Devices - Server (dropdown) —
(left corner of Plex/web)
