I would like to know if plex can save tv shows recorded from my tuner in another format? Or is there an app or add on that can do this?
Plex allows you to setup a post processing script to do any conversions you would like done before the recording is added to your library.

You would create your own script with the tools you want to run when a recording is finished. Search the forums for post processing scripts. I use MCEBuddy since my primary Plex Server runs on Windows.
