Plex DVR Format

Haaaai everyone!

What format does Plex DVR record as? If it’s a format I don’t like I assume I can convert it.
Do the commercials automatically get cut out or do I have to cut those out myself?
Finally, can I download the things recorded from the DVR to an external hard drive?

  2. nothing within Plex. But you can call up your own postprocessing script after the recording finishes.
  3. it is a regular video file like any other video file. no encryption or similar involved
