Can I set up a recording for a future show that is not yet in the guide?

Hi, I see this question has been asked before, but not since Oct 2018.

Is there a way to schedule recordings other than selecting from the guide?

Unfortunately, there is not.

I think the answer is yes and no. The show has to be IN the guide, meaning it will air sometime in the next 2 weeks. But you don’t need to record FROM the guide. You can do a search on a show instead and record from the search results. There is no future recording like TiVo has (which can go out 6 months) unfortunately though.
