Can not play HFR Movies on Apple TV

I have tried playing the movie with the experimental player and the native player.
With the experimental player the movie plays back at the wrong frame rate and stutteres.
With the native player the movie won’t play at all.

Plex doesn’t provide ETAs, I’m afraid

Is this still the case with the new player? I just have a regular Apple TV 4 right now so I cant test myself
