Can’t add ATSC 3 channels

New user trying to setup a server. Just want to confirm Plex can’t play audio from ATSC 3 stations.

ATSC3.0 Broadcast and AC-4 Sound

This is compiled on Ubuntu 20.04. You will have to install the packages listed in the apt-get command. It is not static but includes straight forward commands to get it compiled manually if the binary doesn’t work. Literally copy and paste in the terminal. Assuming you’re using Ubuntu.

No, because that would still require decoding the AC-4 audio, which is the thing we can’t do at the moment until we have all the licensing and technical work done

Sorry, should have been more specific. Setting up a Plex server on Win 10 without it becoming a science project.

Simple answer as of Aug. 2022 No, Plex does not natively support AC-4 encoding.

I’m coming from an OTA Tivo, it works very well but doesn’t support ATSC 3.0. I have no commitment to Plex. To get my Hdhomerun Flex 4K running I had to download one free codec.
Time to move on.

Guys -thanks for your input, my disappointment isn’t directed at you, I checked before I purchased the Plex pass. Plex has my Flex 4K on the supported devices list, they lie.
