It’s strange because it was there just a couple hours ago but now when I click and hold on a movie on a playlist “remove from playlist” is no longer one of the options

Same problem here. This was a bug last year that Plex knew about but took a few months to fix. Hopefully they’ll fix it quicker this time.
@marekszulik As you were the plex employee who was involved in past thread when this issue was present before, I’m hoping you can step in here and provide some assistance.

8.25? I’m on 8.24.1.28493. I can only guess that the updated will be coming soon as your message is 2 weeks old. I really appreciate your help with this.

8.25 is in beta. I’ve no info on when it will be released.
Once it is released, it will take a few days for Amazon to publish the new version. Amazon’s update process is slower than Google’s.
You can subscribe to the Android announcement thread to be notified when new versions are available. Scroll to the bottom of the thread and change “Normal” to “Watching.”
You can also subscribe to the Android TV Beta announcements. If desired, you can download and sideload the beta version of the app. Note that if you sideload, the app will not auto-update when new versions are released. To return to auto-updates, delete the side loaded version and re-load the version from the Amazon store.
Is Plex aware of the issue with fire stick app where the cast photos and user photos don’t show? Also when clicking on cast photos nothing happens
