Yesterday my playlist stopped working. It no longer plays one TV show after another. It will play whatever show I click on and when that episode is over it does not go on to the next show. It stops playing and displays what I just watched.
Also, the controls to click on the next episode are now grayed out and I can no longer flip to the next show by clicking on the forward or back button.
Pretty stupid update feature! Now I can’t even start in the middle of any playlist and use the controls to jump forward of backwards to another show. I sure hope they correct this otherwise what is the sense of a playlist???
hopefully support sees this thread, i posted on reddit as well, its a terrible bug, i always have movies playing on a playlist for my kids and now i have to keep picking movies for them
Same here on Philips Android TV PUS7304 from 2019 (Android 9). Playback stops after every title, must get back to the last menu to start the next title. Not the best solution for binging…
I’m having the same issue on my Android TV app (Sony Bravia). All of the sudden, playlists stop after the first item. It used to work just fine. The only workaround I found is using Chromecast from my Pixel phone. What is going on?
IDKW i’m paying for Plex pass anymore. First they totally nuke 4k playback on the standard 2019 shield, hell even my older 4kHDR TV plays 4K direct over DLNA. It worked fine when i got it. Then they roll out an update that totally screws up the playlist function on the pro and sit silent, like if I pay for a premium service shouldn’t a support response be included in that?

Anyways since we don’t get support here and the Jan 5th update is still broken on the playlists can confirm for Shield owners sideloading v8.23.1.28053 apk brings back playlist functionality. You might want to go into google store and turn off auto update after installing it I did get an update notification for plex so I just turned it off.
