I’d like to be able to add and display a title for some of the “non-TV” video series that I have organized by season.
For instance, say I have a number of videos by a woodworker named “Bob.”
So I name the series folder “Bob Builds Stuff.” I bought and downloaded Bob’s five-part series on making a DIY Squatty Potty. So, I’m okay making series folder named"Series 01" and naming the episode files accordingly (“S01E01, S01E02,…”)
Next, I bought Bob’s three-part series on making a catapult. That goes in the Series 02 folder in “Bob Builds Stuff” and I name the episodes appropriately. This works as expected in Plex. (By that I mean it works fine! Plex is awesome.)
What I’d like, however, is to be able to display a title for each of the seasons. Right now, if I click on the “Bob Builds Stuff” show, I see the seasons listed as “Season 01” and “Season 02.” Is there a way to add a title to these seasons, so the seasons show up as “Season 01 - DIY Squatty Potty” and “Season 02 - Backyard Catapult?”
Of course, this isn’t a big deal when there are only two “seasons” in my “Bob Builds Stuff” folder. The problem is that I have “Show” folders like the one described above with dozens of “Seasons.” If I want to find the “Season” where Bob built a “Knock Down Workbench,” there’s no obvious way to search or browse for this because it could be “Season 23” in the “Bob Builds Stuff” series but there’s no way to tell for sure without clicking on each season and checking the episodes.
Am I missing something basic here?
Is there a way to organize these videos so that searching and browsing them is easier?
