At the moment I have for my Plex Server:
HP Prolaint Microserver Gen8
Intel Celeron G1610T 2.3GHZ
8GB Ram
Windows 10 Pro
8TB RAID
And I’m running out of space.
So thought this would be a good place to upgrade/start a fresh.
I’ve not built a computer since this 3+yrs ago and this was on advice from the internet.
I watch 10GB HEVC 265 MKV movies, with only 1/2 users at anyone time. It’s not the fastest, with transcoding being a dog.
What would you advise for a still rather budget to mid range box/setup?
Looking for advise on box, processor, RAM, HDD etc.
Will probably stick with WIn10, as that’s all I know, 8TB in some RAID setup again.
Any and all advice welcome.
P.S. I’m in the UK, if that helps for any bargains and pricing
