Cannot access QNAP Plex Since resetting password

You are not locked in as admin user?

I am logged in as administrator thru the server. I had to re-enable the original Admin account that QNAP had me disable months ago after the attacks started. I re-enabled this account and it has all permissions. It was suggested that I needed to SUDO (whatever that is) the account.

IF you are logged in as admin user, then there’s no need to use sudo

I have been reading up, because my command prompt is # and not $, yes I am logging in as admin (root). The scripts just wont run.

Well, first you need to find the darn file

Try this

cd /share
ls

and show us the output

I also had the exact same problem, using SSH I got the same result with those commands, no directory found.

The whole reclaiming a server thing needs some real love from Devs. The process is too unreliable, especially when trying to recover from this kind of event.

What eventually worked for me was opening lPlex from the QNAP browser and then cycling thru the setting menu until I actually got a claim screen radio button option. The problem though was it did not happen immediately and took several tries. Seriously unreliable!

Here is what cd /share
ls gives you along with the hidden file version.

In this screen, it actually looks for the file but denies permission even though I am the root user .

My issue has been resolved, Thank You Dane22
