I have a channel 4.5 that works fine on my TV, but in the Plex “Manage Channels” screen the channel shows up in the “Device Channels” list but not in the “Guide Channels” list. When I select it under Device Channels and hit save Plex will begin “Refreshing EPG” but the channel 4.5 will not actually be added. My tuner is WinTV-HVR-955Q (branded as the Xbox One tuner) and it works fine for me with Plex DVR except when attempting to add channel 4.5. This issue has persisted through multiple server updates. I am on Windows 10.
I just updated to Plex server Beta version 1.12.0.4829 and the issue has been resolved. I’m unsure if it has to do with the update or if something on the TV broadcasting side changed. Best of luck to you.
No PBS Kids for me! That one is missing too. I think it’s a Gracenote issue, so I’ve filled out the “Gracenote EPG Data Issue Details” form a couple of times for some missing channels. We’ll see what happens…
