I have two users, the “home admin” and my regular user. I can’t remember my PIN when switching to the admin user but when I go to “forgot”, it seems that I’m only changing my regular user’s PIN (not my own). Any advice?
These instructions do not seem to work. When I try to switch accounts to the Admin I’m sent to the PIN page. I select “forgot” but then it shows a reset for my regular user. I cannot get the Plex platform to send a reset for the other (admin) user.
Close any open browser windows accessing your Plex server
Open a incognito / private browser window (bypasses browser add-ons that might interfere)
Go to the Pin Reset page: https://www.plex.tv/pin-reset/
Enter the new PIN and current password.
When I follow the above I was able to change my old PIN to a new PIN without having to enter the old PIN number. You do have to know your account password.
You with your current Plex account (and with Plex Pass) appear to have joined the Plex Home of another plex account (which doesn’t have a Plex Pass).
That’s a weird setup. Are you sure this is intentional?

If it is indeed intended, I recommend you to use an ‘incognito’ web browser window to reset the pin of the other user account. Of course you’ll need the login credentials (email +password) of this account.
BOOM! And it’s OVER! Finally, I’m not sure how this happened but we’re good to go now. Thanks so much. Just had to leave the “home”. What was strange was that I had to X out my own account.

im stuck on this pin reset. I used log in with apple, therefor I don’t have a password to enter here to reset the pin code. how do I reset it?
