Cannot Claim Server - UNRAiD

Logging this for the UNRAiD users, and hoping to find a solution soon.

Like many here, reset my password this morning, logged out of all devices, logged back in and cannot access my server. I have gone through several threads where some users had success reclaiming their server, but no luck yet for me. I have done the following:

  • Deleted the four entries inside my Preferences.xml file
  • Navigated to http://localip:32400 and was able to log into the Plex console
  • My server libraries are displayed on the sidebar with a caution icon next to their name
  • When trying to look at Settings/Server, there is no area to change any server settings whatsoever

I haven’t found a solution to get things working yet, but wanted to log this here to keep track and hopefully find some additional troubleshooting steps.

As a follow-up, I was able to reclaim my server by following these steps:

  1. Download a Firefox docker via UNRAiD/Apps console, put the docker on the same network as my Plex instance
  2. Navigated to http://my.ip.add.ress:32400/web via the browser
  3. Accessed server settings, authenticated and was able to reclaim the server.

I hope this helps some of you experiencing the same issues.

Can confirm that this is what worked for me, too, running the linuxserver.io docker on my Unraid box. What messed me up at first was the network – I have not messed with custom networks on Unraid (yet?), so figured that didn’t apply, but my Plex docker was set to “Host” and by default the Firefox docker (I used the linuxserver.io one, I’m sure any would work) went to “Bridge” as the network. But when I changed it to “Host” then the server settings started showing up.

Great to hear. I use custom networks in my setup, and while fiddling around eventually got to this solution. What a cluster…
