Cannot connect to Plex server locally - ONLY remotely

Server Version#: Latest
Player Version#: iOS / Android, Latest
I’m running Plex on docker.
Secure Connections: Preferred

If I try to stream something locally from iOS or Android devices, it pulls from plex.direct. Yes, that means my server uploads the data, and then my chromecast/tablet/phone downloads the data.

  1. I can access PMS via it’s local ip, no issues, and stream locally too (on the same devices that have issues with Plex clients!!!)
  2. Remote access works fine (except for recent latency issues at plex.direct)
  3. However, neither iOS nor Android apps can locate the local server, even if I add IP to “manual connections.”
  4. I can traceroute FROM these devices TO the local PMS IP, NO PROBLEM!
  5. I enabled UPnP out of desperation
  6. I have restarted both the containers and nas and router more times than I can count.

I’m looking for any kind of debugging tips as ip route get... from both NAS and docker shell are returning what I would expect, I can traceroute from inside the container to my devices just fine.

Recap:

  1. Network has no problem, packets can get to/from concerned IPs, from several locations in the network.
  2. Logs show me nothing useful, as far as PMS is concerned, everything is working a-ok.

Might we be the ones to determine what’s useful?

May we have the DEBUG ZIP please , captured after attempting to connect in the ways which fail?

In addition to @ChuckPa’s request can you describe your network topology? Is it flat (single subnet) or segregated/tiered? Also, what network driver are you using for your container (host, bridged, macvlan, et al…)?
