Playing around with a Pi and installed Rasplex. Trying to control it via the WebUI since I do not have a remote control and hate to use an iPad/iPhone. The WebUI sees the Rasplex but when I select it, it pops up a red box saying “there was a problem connecting to this player”. I’m using the latest verison of PMS and the latest version of Rasplex. Right now everything is DHCP. I have reset everything. Server/Pi, etc.
Any ideas?
I have a few issues lately. Signed out and then back in on both the Pi and on the server and now able to cast from my laptop.
Resetting everything kind of does that.
Still having issues on my end, trying to figure out why. Curious to know what OS, browser and whether you are using the hosted web app or the local web app to cast from.
My laptop is running Windows 10 and I can’t cast using the hosted web app, but can using the local web. Server running Windows 7 Pro can cast using either. For me this failure to cast from my Win 10 machine isn’t limited to the Pi2 - happens with FireTV and Roku3.
- Edit: FWIW, I did get my Windows 10 laptop (Chrome browser) to cast to the Pi2 and other clients using the hosted app, but I had to disable secure connections, log out and then log in. For me it appears to be a Windows 10 issue.
