Cannot log in from newly installed server

Player Version#: haven’t gotten that far yet

So I download Plex server and it installs, and then I get a window saying “Plex Web … would you like to sign into your account?” My account name is visible, and I hit “sign in.” I’m told I’ve signed in, and then I get a window with the unhelpful message “there was an error signing into your account.” I’ve tried reinstalling the server, restarting the computer, installing it on a different computer, but I always get the same error. How do I get past this?

Are you using FireFox. There is an entire thread about issues with that and Plex Web. Try another browser.

To confirm this for anyone else investigating this issue, this happened to me, I was indeed using Firefox. I tried this on Chrome and it worked fine. Is this being addressed by the Plex developers? I prefer FF for myself, so this is a bit of a pain to go through for such a popular browser.
