Cannot play any media on 1.41.8.9834

Hi Everyone,

I would love to get some help on a constant issue I’m having with my Plex Media Server for the last 3 or 4 weeks. My plex server is running on an Intel NUC, with media shared via NFS shares on a Synology NAS. After running an upgrade on software on my NUC 3 or 4 weeks ago, including plex, all of my users stopped being able access any media. I have since updated the plex server as updates have come out without any fix. I apologize but I don’t know the version of Plex that I upgraded from initially before I started running into the playback errors.

There have been two ways I have been able to access my media since this issue popped up. One is using another app, Infuse, which is not ideal. But I have zero issues accessing media from PMS when I use it.

The other way is using the DBRepair tool to roll back the database to a previous backup, and the media is accessible without errors for several hours. I have done this several times, but each time, the error comes back. I have tried repairing the database with the DBRepair tool as well after rolling it back, no luck on a permanent fix.

I really am not comfortable posing logs publicly, but would be happy to DM a dropbox link to both my app logs from my iPhone or iPad and my PMS logs from the server. I’d rather not have to nuke my server and start over if I can help it, so any help the community could provide would be greatly appreciated. If there’s any other information I can post that might be helpful aside from logs, please let me know.

Edit: Forgot to add one thing. Live TV via my HDHomerunPrime seems to work locally or remotely without issue through the Plex App.

If you want to rollback your pms version to an earlier one in order to see if it is a pms issue or a networking issue, there is an archive of pms download urls on Github:

If you’re on one of the latest server versions, you’ll want to have all clients on their latest versions too in order to use the new experience.
