Cannot reclaim server. See "Not authorized" message straight after claiming

Server Version#: v1.32.8.7639-fb6452ebf
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.116.1

My library has gone missing from my account. A few times now I’ve gone through the process to reclaim it by editing the Preferences.xml and removing user association key/value pairs (https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288586-installation/). After that, by connecting to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web I am able to go through the process of claiming again, but shortly after (if not immediately) I get a message saying:

“”"
Not authorized
You do not have access to this server
“”"

I can’t seem to get past this stage. I’ve tried moving stopping the server, renaming the Library directory, then starting it back up again. That didn’t permanently solve the issue either, and after going through the extra setup steps, I’m back seeing the same issue all over again.

I have searched the forums but can’t see what I should do when reclaiming doesn’t work / stops working again. Can you help?

I’ve attached the Plex Media Server.log file from a fresh attempt to claim the server. On this occasion I also removed the AcceptedEULA from Preferences.xml, and it appeared to maintain my access for a little longer but, as before, access was lost again.

One thing I did read about is Hetzner being blocked recently. I don’t know if this is what’s happened however. I didn’t receive any communication about it happening or any violation of terms. If that is what’s happened though, how do I get my static IP unblocked. I am certainly not in violation of any terms of service that I’ve seen.

I’d much appreciate some help from some in the know here, as I’m at the point of switching out Plex for something else at this point :frowning:

Plex Media Server.log (2.2 MB)

If your server is hosted there you will not be able to claim it.

Plex is blocking claiming from all their IP addresses.

There are several recent threads on the topic. Search the forum for their name and you will find the threads.

Is there some was to contest the block for my server’s specific IP? You’d assume there’s some ability for them to add it to an allow-list/block-list. Perhaps some way to prove there’s nothing nefarious going on?

Nope, your out of luck trying to host on Hetzner anymore, check the big long thread for more info

To add to @blim5001

Here’s a short thread asking about unblocking specific users: Hetzner audit process for legitimate users?

Here’s the very long thread on the topic: Not Allowed to use Hetzner

Thanks for your help both. Looks like I’ll need to poke my traffic out somewhere else then!
