Cannot remove old server on Windows 11

Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: 4.147.1
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Hello, I recently replaced my Windows Plex Server. I’m unable to remove the old server as pictured below.

I’ve tried going to Authorized Devices and the only one showing there is the current server/PC.

Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible that your Windows computer has more than one Windows user account?
If that is the case, log in to every account. Then inspect the task tray area. There must be only a Plex logo in the account that you are using from day to day.
In all other accounts, use the right-click menu to disable the automatic startup of Plex server.

Ensure that you are using “log out” followed by “log in” and not “switch user” when you want to change the Windows user account.

Thanks for the reply. I checked on the other account, Plex does not start on that account.

Please stop and restart both your Plex server and your Plex client.
The fact that you named the new server identically to the old one, made it a bit difficult to distinguish between the two.
But I think I have identified the old one and removed it from your account..

Thanks @OttoKerner I don’t see that old/duplicate server anymore. Was there anything I could’ve done from my end to prevent this from happening?

To make it easier in the future, name a new server differently than what you had before.
Then it is easy to tell old and new apart on this page, and remove the old one: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
