Cannot scan multi-disk classical music

I have no idea what is happening, so I thank everyone in advance for suggestions.

I have Plex installed as an application on a Netgear NAS. All my music is also on that NAS. The problem is that the scanner simply does not see most of my classical music. For instance:

    • Richard Strauss

      • Der Rosenkavalier [Karajan, Schwarzkopf]

        • Disk 1
          * 01 Der Rosenkavalier - Introduction
          * …
        • Disk 2
        • Disk 3

      • Capriccio [Sawallisch]
        * Disk 1
        * Disk 2

      • Till Eugenspiegels and Ein Heldenleben 1991

        • …

The only item that is included in the library is “Der Roesenkavalier [Karajan, Schwarzkopf] | Disk 3.” None of the other items in included.

Needless to say, this makes Plex useless for my needs.

I have done the so-called “Plex dance,” but that had no effect. I am at a total loss as to what is going on or how to get Plex to correctly index my music, most of which is of similar structure. Again, thanks in advance for all suggestions.
