Cannot sort items in category on iPhone

I defined categories in my Plex lib and now want to view items in these categories on my iPhone, in year order. So I select a category in Plex IOS on my iPhone, expecting to be able to sort on year, but to my surprise and frustration there is NO sort option at all (or any other option for that matter)
On other platforms the sort option is there, although not operating well on some of them.

What exactly do you mean by „defining categories in your library“?

You should be able to set/change the order of items in your library, if that’s what you’re looking for.
