Cannot transcode movies to android tablet using the new download feature

I’m running a plex media server on a Synology DS418play. I’m trying to use the new download function to download movies to my daughter’s tablet. Some of them are 4K HDR and due to limited storage on the tablet I’d like to convert them to 720p or 1080p so I can fit more on there. I never had issues doing this using the sync function. It was slow but it worked as long as I gave it enough time. Now if I try to download something at a different resolution it fails every time and sometimes crashes my server so I have to go in and manually restart it.
