When I attempted to use Plex on my browser today I was unable to access a number of tabs on the sidebar (Movies, TV, Music, etc.), being told that I had to upgrade to version 1.15.2 or higher. I’m fairly far behind because updates never work. I try to update through the web version and every time I go through the whole download and install process it ends up the same as it was before. Anyway, that’s not the problem today. The issue is that when I downloaded the installer for latest version of the Media Server from the website and… I don’t know, activated it (I’m not up on my tech lingo) it failed. It would get to a point in the process and tell me that it couldn’t install properly because a previous version of Plex was preventing it. So I try to uninstall Plex Media Server through Apps, where I would usually uninstall something, but every time I try it tells me that, again, the previous version of Plex could not be uninstalled.
