Can't access libraries on kids' profile?

i set up a profile that’s restricted as “older kid”, and when i go to that profile it’s only Plex’s live and on demand content, i can’t see my libraries or any of the libraries i have access to

What server version are you on? May need to update… Plex Media Server - Security Update - #3 by PlexInfo

Did you share your libraries? Just creating a managed account doesn’t automatically share your server.

Movie Fan- it’s not a new account, it’s a new profile on my account. when I’ve created new profiles in the past, I haven’t had to specifically give them access to my libraries like I did when sharing them, iirc

veejay- I’m on server version 1.42.2.10156 and it says there are no updates available.

I think you are misremembering.
Newly created managed users don’t get automatically access to all your libraries.
You need to edit each of them and define which libraries on your own server they shall be able to see. https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/plex-home
(If those libraries are newly created, you might have to wait a few hours [and maybe perform a server restart], before they appear in the above link.)

Your managed users will only ever see your own libraries. They will not get access to libraries to which you were granted access by other Plex users.

ok that’s worked. just fyi, the first four times I clicked on that link, it just took me to the profile selection screen? I was about to reply saying that before I tried clicking it one more time and it finally took me to the proper settings

This is only accessible to the admin of your Plex Home. If used Switch User to become one of your managed users before, then of course it would forward you to the user profile switcher. To give you a chance to become the admin.
