Can't change movie year of release

I’m not sure what is wrong with my server, but I just can’t change any year of any movie or show. The “locker” is disabled, I change the year, hit save and it only goes to “1970-01-01”. If I try to Fix the Match after that, it just doesn’t work anymore and the media is stuck in the year “1970”.
As far as I researched, it seems it should have been fixed years ago as it was a known problem, and I don’t know what is happening.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Are you entering just the year, or a full date? If you’re trying to just add the year, you might be running into this, which I can still repro: Editing ‘Originally Available’ to be a standalone year is treated as ‘[year] seconds past epoch’ - Plex Media Server / Metadata & Adding Files - Plex Forum

Yes, only the year, and I can’t reverse it or change it again, I have to delete the movie from Plex, move around the files and scan back so I can try again, very annoying.

In those followup attempts were you still using just the year? Using the full year-month-day, e.g. 2000-01-01, should have adjusted it as expected. Making sure the field was unlocked and refreshing metadata also worked for me.
