I have three debian 11 servers setup and on each I have plex media server installed. I’m testing right now with claiming each of these with the same plex pass account. When I claim server 3 and server 2, they work just fine, but I as so as, I claim server 1, server 3 disappears and I can’t find it and it says any user that setup, will loose their access. But idk why unless there is a limited on how many servers you can claim at once.
I’m no Linux expert, but one question: Did you clone the plex data folder and/or the Preferences.xml file from one server to the other?
If you did, the new server will take the identity of the original one.
With testing and what not Ive had 5 servers active at one time, gonna suspect what Otto is mentioning
after going back and checking apparently the vm cloned, and identical preferences.xml (with machineid’s etc). after stopping plex and removing all those and restarting it, it fixed the issue. So glad to know it was something simple! Thanks!
