Can't click to a specific timeframe in plex media player

I just recently installed the latest version and it seems I can no longer click to the point in the movie or video that I want to. For example, if i want to go to 57 minutes into a video, I have to use the fast forward buttons rather than just sliding the marker to that point, or clicking there. Hopefully, this isn’t intentional, or something on my end is broke?

You have probably switched PMP into its TV mode.
Anyway, there hasn’t been a new version of PMP in almost 2 years now.
And there won’t be another with bug fixes.

If you want a desktop player with mouse-support, use Plex for Windows/Mac.
If you want a HTPC player with remote control support and a 10-foot UI, download Plex HTPC.

I just checked out the HTPC player, and unfortunately, the part below is probably a deal breaker for me, but it does seem to run in windows mode, so I’ll give it a try.

  • The app is designed to be run in fullscreen on a TV or projector. It has a fixed 16:9 aspect ratio, and you can choose between 1280x720 (720p), 1920x1080 (1080p), and 3840x2160 (4K) in settings.
