Installed Plea onto a few of my devices in the hope to stream to PS4 from PC as media server like you used to with PS3 and also use phone/tablet as remote controls for PS4 each other e.g. like you can do with you tube (but hopefully better).
So it’s setup and I can see the pc media server from ps4 and it plays music etc, but it’s not possible to connect to ps4 from tablet or from iphone. Is this a but or a setting? Something im doing wrong perhaps?
what do u mean connect to the ps4 from tablet or phone? Like control plex app on ps4 from ur phone like u can with spotify?
I mean you hit the connect button and the ps4 is not visible. Iphone/tablet is visible from each other but not PS4.
Yet it is connected as I can play music etc from media server.
I’d like to be able to cast live streams to PS4 as well as play media files.
Even casting media files to PS4, streamed via iphone or tablet would be better but none of this is possible if they wont connect via the app!
Update, the PS4 is shows up in list of players and I can use the phone or kindle to browse and then play on a screen via ps4!
Whilst that’s a great first step now do you cast a stream rather than play a media file?
e.g. Amazon prime, Netflix etc.
